GOP refocuses attacks after Dem debate
Wed Oct 14, 2015
Rachel, I usually like and agree with what you have to say, but here you have it wrong. In the Senate Hillary worked well with the Republicans. Obama's was of negotiating was to try to talk the Republicans into doing it his way. i.e.. immigration, he refused to talk unless a path to citizenship were …
Vetoing Keystone is just the beginning
Mon Feb 23, 2015
This paper is so slanted. Of course he only has 2 vetoes. He has had the Democratic controlled Senate to protect him thus far. If his jonb is to protect "all of the American people," why the executve order granting amnesty? This is especially detrimental to poor Americans. MSNBC's love fest with Oba …
Obama defends health care law

In reply to: old guru #2.7 "get enough votes from Republicans" Not one Republican voted for it. Nothing on either side of the aisle that noone from the other side agrees with should get passed. This is why Dems got voted out. And if Republicans do this, they will get voted out. Most …
Immigration reformers make their stand

In reply to: CRW1 #1.13 Actually there is a line. Talk to people who hae applied for legals means of being here. Ask the forms they have to fill out and the things they have to prove (that they are not a burden to society). There is a different set of standards for those who are going through t …

Obama-endorsed governor ousted in primary

Has Hawaii ever strongly supported Obama? It makes me wonder that the people who knew him most tepidly (at best) support him. He lead a privileged life there.
Abramson imparts lessons from 'Times' firing
Mon May 19, 2014
Actually, she didn't do a lousy job. That's the point. At a time when newspapers are struggling, The Times stock doubled. In an industry where gruff bosses are the norm, she was singled out as too gruff. The Times is a newspaper that prides itself on equality for women, and has written numerous arti …
Women are fasting for immigration reform
Mon Apr 7, 2014
Interesting that they are citing Cesar Chavez as an example. He was against even legal immigration because he thought it undermined the migrant workers positions. I don't think he would be fasting for this cause, at least not based on history. He was against illegal immigration.
Unemployed, and heading toward foreclosure
Tue Mar 25, 2014
I had to stop half way through. I couldn't stand it anymore. So this lady spent six months scouring the newspaper for a job? After the first two, how about walking down to the local McDonalds or dollar store and apply for a job while looking for something better. It sucks, but we do what we have to …
